Case Summary:
Recently, North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com) had the pleasure of working with a postdoctoral research associate from India. Our client, who has a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering, approached us when he wanted to file an EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) petition. Although our client had very strong credentials, he needed our help to refine his presentation and present a convincing case to the USCIS. He opted for Premium Processing and received an approval notice 11 days later.
The petition we prepared for our client contained carefully worded summaries of his research, his experience serving as a peer reviewer for six scientific journals, and his impressive citation record, which at the time of filing, stood at over 150 total citations. We also incorporated an account of his 28 published papers. All of this was supplemented by six recommendation letters contributed by materials scientists, one of whom wrote, “[Client’s] method is critical to biosensor technology development, because it provides a cost-effective way to develop bimetallic nanoparticles and because it increases silver oxidation resistance by 10 times, which solves the most critical setback involved with silver based biosensors. Therefore, [Client’s] research is of national importance in its applications, especially to the medical field, allowing scientists to accurately identify and detect any molecular target they desire.” This quote is only one example of the many ways we verified the importance of our client’s work to the United States.
Our client is now awaiting the approval of his I-485 application (the final step towards obtaining a green card). We wish him all the best and thank him for selecting our firm to represent his EB-1A case.
