Case Summary:
A postdoctoral researcher from China engaged the services of North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com) to file an EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) petition on her behalf. Seven and a half months later, she received an approval notice. Our client is now waiting for her priority date to become current before undertaking the final step in the green card process (I-485 application).
Comprehensive Service:
Our legal services included:
  1. We incorporated relevant data that showcased our client’s skills as an essential member of the field. Examples include a copy of her doctoral degree and transcripts, the 40 citations to her 4 publications, and detailed accounts of her work on oil extraction methodologies and treatments for the damaging effects of methamphetamine. We also determined that despite there being other researchers with similar qualifications working in the field, none of their successes are comparable to our client’s.
  2. We helped our client select recommenders to support our EB-2 NIW petition. We knew that we needed third-party opinions to strengthen our case and we urged our client to contact other experts in her field to contribute recommendation letters. The six letters that she managed to obtain were included in our petition packet. One of these experts wrote, “I feel that it is a testament to [Client's] remarkable talent that she has been able to reach profound success through research in such a wide range of topics. The United States now has the opportunity to provide further support for a rare and tremendously beneficial asset in the scientific community.”
  3. We also helped our client file a service request when the processing time went beyond the norm. Overall, our client did not have to deal with the USCIS as we handled all aspects of communication with them. We are pleased that they were ultimately convinced by our carefully prepared EB-2 NIW presentation and granted their approval.
We thank our client for selecting North America Immigration Law Group to handle her NIW case, and we wish her well as she continues to progress her field of biochemistry.
