Case Summary:
North America Immigration Law Group recently worked with a research assistant from Iran who wanted us to file an EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) on his behalf. Despite our attention to detail, the USCIS issued a Request for Evidence (RFE); however, we successfully quelled any doubts about our client’s credentials and convinced the USCIS to approve his I-140.
Among other things, the petition that we put together was comprised of our client’s citation and publication record, education details such as his Ph.D. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, and recommendation letters from experts in his field of mechanical engineering. One of these experts wrote, “Given that his articles are well-received by his peers, furthermore, with 37 citations testifying to the worth of his findings, it is my belief that [Client] will continue to benefit his fellow engineers by producing quality research throughout the duration of his scientific inquiry.”
We also included specific information on our client’s research on nanotechnology and precision manufacturing. For instance, he developed a chemical technique to coat the surface of individual ZnO nanoparticles with a layer of dopants, studied the effect of ion irradiation on sol-gel derived thin films, investigated the development of SnO2 varistors using nanoparticles, assessed the subsurface damage of diamond-turned optical components, and performed detailed evaluations of graphene and other 2D materials using Raman spectroscopy. We established beyond doubt that our client’s work is of great value to the United States and that he will continue contributing valuable findings to the nation.
We congratulate our client on his EB-2 NIW petition approval, and we wish him all the best in his investigations.
