Her work had resulted in 6 peer-reviewed articles in highly-ranked journals and 5 conference presentations, both national and international. She had also reviewed 2 manuscripts for a renowned and highly distinguished publication. Furthermore, as evidence of the major significance of her work, she had been cited a total of 29 times by independent and leading researchers from prestigious institutions and organizations around the world. An independent recommender affirmed the significance of the beneficiary’s research: “She identified that the V617F mutation changes the interactions of neighboring amino acids, which introduces structural changes and activates the protein molecule continuously. … [Beneficiary] determined that this interaction is a factor in the continuous activation of Jak2-V617F, which leads to cancer. [Beneficiary’s] findings identify a critical target site for the development of viable treatment options for MPN patients.” It was our goal to prove that this beneficiary qualified for classification as an outstanding professor or researcher given the international recognition for her outstanding achievements.
