Case Summary:
This EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) case involved a postdoctoral research associate from Iran immersed in the field of mechanical engineering. He engaged the services of North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com) to help him obtain American permanent residency, and we took it upon ourselves to do our very best to make it happen. We recently received the good news that our client’s I-140 petition had been approved and we are currently waiting to hear back from the USCIS regarding our client’s I-485 application (I-140 and I-485 are the two steps involved in the green card process). Once our client’s I-485 application is approved, he will receive his green card.
When our client initially contacted us for help with his EB-2 NIW application, we conducted a thorough evaluation of his credentials to determine if this was a suitable category to file his I-140 under. After assessing his academic and professional portfolio, we agreed that he qualified for EB-2 NIW. His strong citation and publication record (42 and 9 respectively), Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, and years of research experience in the field made him a suitable candidate for the national interest waiver.
Part of our legal services involved helping our client select potential recommenders who could contribute strong testimonials in support of his NIW case. We narrowed down the list to six recommenders, all of whom play prominent roles in the field of mechanical engineering. One of these experts wrote, “… I am pleased to conclude by stating that [Client] is a first-rate computational research scientist who is benefitting the United States immensely with his indefatigable curiosity and the enlightening applications for his mechanical engineering talents.”
We are glad that our diligent efforts coupled with our client’s strong credentials convinced Texas Service Center to approve this EB-2 NIW case. We join our client as he awaits their decision regarding his I-485 application.
