Case Summary:
In this EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) case, a mechanical engineer from India hired North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com) to file an I-140 petition on his behalf. At a glance, our client’s Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and extensive experience conducting research on modeling and simulating viscoelastic multiphase flows made him a suitable candidate for the national interest waiver. However, he needed our professional help to refine his petition and prove to the USCIS that his work is of great value to the United States.
As part of our case strategy, we documented our client’s 44 citations to his 5 publications. We also proved the significance of his work to other expert mechanical engineers by incorporating recommendation letters volunteered by them. For instance, one of these letters stated that “…there are a number of practical applications for [Client’s research], including in the development of more efficient combustion systems, the study of geophysical flows like bubbles in molten rock, and the improvement of fluid transport through pipes…[thus Client’s] studies are of significant importance to many different areas of inquiry.”
Our client is now waiting for his priority date to become current before filing his I-485 application—the final step in the green card process. We wish him the very best.
