Case Summary:
A Chinese postdoctoral research associate from China decided that he wanted to become an American permanent resident. He approached North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com) because he knew about our firm’s impressive approval rates and wanted to give himself the best shot at a green card. At first glance, our client’s credentials were suitable to file his I-140 petition under EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability). However, we diligently evaluated his qualifications first before informing him that he had a viable case. Once an attorney-client relationship arose, our legal team got to work.
Our Legal Services:
Part of our services involved narrowing down a list of potential recommenders who could furnish us with strong recommendation letters. Our two criteria were that these recommenders be leaders in the field of chemistry and that they be willing to attest to the inherent value of our client’s work. To our delight, our client persuaded six experts to lend their support, all of whom furnished us with excellent testimonials. According to one of these recommenders, “[Client’s] continued presence is needed for improvements to chemical systems. It is imperative to energy systems and applications throughout the world that [Client] be permitted to continue with his work. He is an expert in catalytic reactions who has a single-minded focus on improving energy models for the safety of the consumer and the environment.” Another expert wrote, “[Client] has built an expansive reputation for himself in a minimal period of time. There are few researchers in the field of physical chemistry capable of the accomplishments of [Client] . . .”
Besides testimonials, our EB-1A petition packet was comprised of data on our client’s peer review experience (15 reviews for 7 scientific periodicals), the staggering 1183 citations to his work, and his outstanding publication record (35 articles, one book chapter, four patents, and numerous conference papers and presentations). We also documented his research efforts on the development of metal catalysts to be used in the production of fuels and chemicals.
EB-1A Approval:
Because we were able to clearly argue that our client’s work is important to the United States, we undoubtedly paved the way for case approval. Thanks to Premium Processing, our client received an approval notice from Nebraska Service Center merely 6 days after we filed the case on his behalf. Now that our client has obtained an EB-1A petition approval, the second and final step involves filing an I-485 application. We wish our client the best with this, and thank him for selecting our firm to help him with his EB-1A case.
