Case Summary:
A postdoctoral researcher from China reached out to North America Immigration Law Group for help with his EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) petition. Although our client had very strong credentials, he needed our expertise to carefully compile his professional accomplishments into a petition packet and submit it to the USCIS.
Six days after we filed our client’s EB-1A petition, he decided that he wanted his case to be adjudicated under Premium Processing (PP). For an additional $1,225, the USCIS reviews and takes action on petitions filed under PP within 15 days. This is a far cry from the 4-9 months that it usually takes for a petition response, making it a suitable option for petitioners who are reluctant to wait several months for adjudication. In our client’s case, he only waited 12 days after we upgraded his petition to PP for an approval notice.
Our comprehensive EB-1A petition packet was comprised of a myriad of information on our client’s professional triumphs and research efforts on insect reproduction, as well as animal and biological-based pest control. We included data on his 46 scientific articles and 1 book chapter as well as the 379 citations gathered from his work. We also detailed the 40 times he contributed his insights to other researchers in the field through peer reviews. To further fortify our EB-1A presentation, we prompted our client to touch base with other influential pest control specialists in the field. His persistence paid off and he obtained five strong testimonials that we included in our petition packet. One of these letters stated, “Based on this fact, the United States should tirelessly support [Client's] research. His findings […] afford novel insight into eradication of pests. The United States' economy is still heavily controlled by the agricultural industry, so destroying the pest insects that limit crop production throughout the country is an unmistakably important goal for the economy.”
The combination of our client’s strong qualifications and our attention-to-detail when putting together this EB1A petition packet paid off in the best way possible: an approval notice. We would like to congratulate our client on this milestone, and we wish him the best with his continued pest-control investigations.
