Case Summary:

North America Immigration Law Group was hired by a Ph.D. candidate engaged in the field of computer vision to file an EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) petition on his behalf. Although our client had strong credentials, he needed our firm’s help to refine his petition— particularly in proving that his research on robotic learning significantly benefits the United States.
As part of our case strategy, we advised our client to contact other influential researchers in his field and appeal to them for recommendation letters. Our client managed to compile six letters, which we included in our meticulously prepared EB-1A petition. One of the recommenders had this to say about our client: “He has improved our knowledge of robotic learning to an extent that I do not believe anyone else in the field could presently match. Unquestionably, [Client] is one of the most advanced individuals working in this area, and the continued improvement of the field is heavily dependent upon his continued research.” We supported this statement by incorporating evidence of our client’s contributions to his field: his 24 published papers that had gathered 246 citations, and the 24 instances he lent his expertise to scientific journals by judging the work of other scientists.
As our client favored filing his case under Premium Processing (only available for EB1 cases), he received an approval notice from the USCIS 22 days after we filed the case on his behalf. This I-140 petition approval is yet another encouraging example of our firm’s outstanding abilities to propel our clients closer to American permanent residency.
