General Field: Exercise Physiology

Case Summary:
In this EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) case, an assistant professor from India hired North America Immigration Law Group to help him obtain a green card. Although our client initially chose to file his case using regular service, he upgraded it to Premium Processing less than a month after filing. This allowed him to receive quicker adjudication; two weeks later, he received an approval notice from the USCIS.
Our client’s extensive experience in the field of exercise physiology, his doctoral degree, the 336 citations to his work, and 40 published scientific papers made him a suitable candidate for EB-1A. The petition packet that we put together on his behalf contained all the relevant information on his professional portfolio, including the 33 instances he conducted peer reviews for high impact journals. We also incorporated recommendation letters volunteered by several experts in his field. One of these experts affirmed our claim that our client’s research is significant to the United States. He wrote, “It is quite clear that [Client’s] continued research is critical for public health in the U.S. So long as he conducts his research in the country, his findings will remain readily accessible to scientists within its borders. The new information will thereby continue to inform national physiological recommendations rapidly. Indeed, there is every reason to expect [Client] to remain an outstanding scholar in the field.”
North America Immigration Law Group recently filed I-485 applications for our client and his wife. This is the final step towards permanent residency and we wish them all the best in attaining their green cards.
