On February 10th, 2016, we received another EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) approval for a Cardiology Fellow in the Field of Medicine (Approval Notice).
General Field: Medicine
Position at the Time of Case Filing: Cardiology Fellow
Country of Origin: India
Service Center: Nebraska Service Center (NSC)
State of Residence at the Time of Filing: Pennsylvania
Processing Time: 22 days (Premium Processing requested)
Case Summary:
In a show of support for our client’s quest to obtain a green card, several experts in the field of medicine volunteered recommendation letters that attested to the value of our client’s work to not just the scientific community, but to the United States as a whole. These letters were included in the EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) petition packet that we compiled and submitted on behalf of our client.
Alongside these letters, we included information on our client’s impressive citation, publication, and peer review record. At the time of filing, these numbers stood at 551 citations, 40 publications, and 8 reviews respectively. We demonstrated the value of our client’s work on cardiovascular diseases, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, heart failure, preventive cardiology, hematology and oncology, particularly to the United States medical sector.
A couple of weeks after we filed the case, our client decided to upgrade his petition to Premium Processing. Nine days later, he received a notice from the USCIS informing him that his I-140 had been approved. We are thrilled that our client is now one step closer to his green card, and we look forward to helping him obtain it.
