Case Summary:

This EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) case involved a petitioner from Egypt working in the field of mechanical engineering. Our client’s Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, his 3 published journal papers that had obtained 35 citations at the time of filing, and extensive experience conducting research on novel computational fluid dynamic (CFD) techniques and technologies for application in oil extraction processes and operations, and the design of engines, underwater vehicles, and ventilation systems of buildings, aircrafts and airports made him a suitable candidate for the national interest waiver.
To strengthen our NIW petition, we advised our client to obtain recommendation letters from other influential experts in his field of mechanical engineering. The six letters that he managed to gather attested to the value of his work to the United States, and supported our claim that not many other researchers with similar skillsets are able to attain the same level of success as our client. For instance, one of these recommendation letters stated that “The research conducted by [Client] is exceptional and has seen impressive success […] [Client] has become a prominent member of a field that is critical to naval technology, among other applications, thereby placing himself in an important and influential position.”
We are pleased that our diligent efforts lent a hand in our client’s EB-2 NIW petition approval. He is now eligible to apply for Immigrant Visa Processing (IVP)—the final step in the green card process for applicants living outside the United States. Once his IVP is approved, our client and his dependents may enter the United States as permanent residents. North America Immigration Law Group wishes them well.
