Case Summary:
A little over a month and a half after we filed an EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) petition on our client’s behalf, he opted to upgrade his case to Premium Processing (PP). Six days after our client (a postdoctoral scholar from India) chose to upgrade his case, Nebraska Service Center responded with an approval notice. PP is only available to EB-1 applicants, and requires an additional fee of roughly $1000 to be paid to the USCIS. It allows adjudication to take place within 15 days as opposed to the usual 4-9 months.
In preparing the EB-1A petition, we focused on carefully detailing our client’s research exploits on epithelial cancers. His findings have allowed other molecular biologists in the United States and abroad to better understand the progression towards malignancy in different cancer types. We also used the information gleaned from the several recommendation letters offered by experts in the field of molecular biology to strengthen our EB-1A case. • “[Client’s] area of research is one of immense importance today. The tools and methods for the diagnosis and therapy of pancreatic cancer are uniquely poor, and there is an urgent need to better understand this cancer’s initial stages and mechanisms of progression.” (Excerpt from a recommendation letter by a prominent professor in the field)
Our legal team also took great care to document our client’s various work-related accomplishments. For instance, our EB-1A petition noted the nearly 200 citations gathered from our client’s dozen publications, and the 16 times he conducted peer reviews for scientific journals. • “In light of [Client’s] achievements, I believe that [Client] is working at the forefront of cancer research, having produced results that address some of the biggest problems in pancreatic cancer today.” (Statement made by the chief editor of a well-known publication)
Our client chose to retain our expert services to help him with the final step of the green card process. We recently filed an I-485 application on his behalf and are currently preparing the paperwork for his spouse. North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com) would like to thank our client for placing his trust in us to help him obtain a green card.
