Case Summary:
A doctoral candidate from Iran engaged the services of North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com) to obtain a green card. Our client had suitable credentials to qualify for the EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) visa category: an M.Sc. in Computer Science, 93 citations to his work, and a dozen published scientific papers. Even so, he needed our expertise to strengthen his case.
To lend our EB-2 NIW petition more credibility, we encouraged our client to contact expert computer scientists and appeal for recommendation letters. The five letters that he managed to obtain attested to the value of his work to the United States. For instance, one of these letters stated, “Being an exceptional scientist and unmatched in his talents, [Client] is a singular researcher whose projects routinely offer important advantages to the United States in computer technology and wireless networking. In essence, the benefits [Client] provides to the United States are twofold; his wireless network upgrades support both the American economy and communications.”
North America Immigration Law Group also demonstrated that not many other researchers with similar qualifications are able to attain the same level of success as our client, specifically in the field of computer science. As with all our clients, we carefully accounted for his various research undertakings and included these details in our well-thought-out NIW petition packet. In this case, we listed our client’s work on computer networks using analytical research, and his frameworks to formulate computer network problems, as well as development of algorithms to solve these problems.
The USCIS spent less than three months adjudicating this NIW case and we congratulate our client on obtaining their approval. Our client recently retained our legal services to help him file an I-485 application (the final step in the green card process). We look forward to helping him attain permanent residency.
