Success Stories: EB-1A Petition Approved for Chinese Postdoctoral Research Scholar in the Field of Molecular Modeling

Client’s Testimonial:
“The most important reason that I chose Wegreened is that they give feedback promptly. And of course their “approve-or-refund” program. Preparing the application package is time-consuming, labor-intensive and needs to be extremely careful. I am very lucky to work with some very intelligent and hard-working people to get my case done.”

On February 24th, 2016, we received another EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) approval for a Postdoctoral Research Scholar in the Field of Molecular Modeling (Approval Notice).

General Field: Molecular Modeling
Position at the Time of Case Filing: Postdoctoral Research Scholar
Country of Origin: China
Service Center: Texas Service Center (TSC)
Approval Notice Date: February 24th, 2016
Processing Time: 36 days (Premium Processing requested)

Case Summary:
A little over three weeks after we filed an EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) petition on our client’s behalf, he decided to upgrade his case to Premium Processing (PP). 12 days after the upgrade, the USCIS sent him an approval notice. PP significantly reduces the average adjudication timeframe from 4-9 months to 15 days and is only available for EB-1 cases.
As part of our legal strategy, we helped our client put together a detailed EB-1A petition packet that highlighted his many professional successes. Here are some of the things included in this packet:
1. Explanations on the significance of our client’s research to the United States: We demonstrated that his work on materials discovery through computer simulations advances the entire field of molecular modeling. We also established that his findings address some of the United States’ most pressing issues involving challenges in health care, energy, and environmental research.
2. Strong recommendation letters provided by experts in the field: We started off by helping our client select potential recommenders who could offer strong testimonials. Once we narrowed down the list, we prompted our client to contact these experts and ask for recommendation letters. Five experts were happy to lend their support and their letters were included in the petition packet. One of these letters stated that our client “has already surpassed even the most ambitious goals for a researcher of his experience in the field, it is clear that his further research will continue to push the field forward, resulting in the development and refinement of many new technological innovations, including low-cost ethanol purification processes. Therefore, it is of the highest importance that [Client] be retained by the United States to continue his critical work.”
3. Proof of our client’s professional exploits: We carefully listed the 44 times our client contributed his insights to the field by conducting peer reviews, his 33 publications, and the 669 times his work was cited by other researchers.
It was a pleasure working with our client (a postdoctoral research scholar from China) and we join him as he celebrates his EB-1A petition approval. North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com) wishes him well as he continues to advance his field of molecular modeling.
