Success Stories: EB-1A Petition Approved for Postdoctoral Fellow from India in the Field of Biomedical Engineering

Client’s Testimonial:
North America Immigration Law Group was very professional in helping me with my application. The law firm created an excellent strategy to present my case, which eventually resulted in the case being approved. To the best of my knowledge no other popular law firm in this area offers to generate first draft of recommendation letters for EB1A cases. This service saved me a lot of time and resulted in the letters being drafted quickly in accordance with the case strategy formulated by the law firm. Overall I am extremely happy with the service I received and would gladly recommend it to friends and family.”

On February 3rd, 2016, we received another EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) approval for a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Field of Biomedical Engineering (Approval Notice).

Case Summary:

North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com) helped a postdoctoral fellow file an EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) petition. Our client, who is from India, has applied cutting-edge engineering principles to healthcare breakthroughs, such as the development of microfluidic platforms that allow for the ultrasensitive detection of biomolecules by using single molecule detection and droplet microfluidic technologies. His work has advanced the United States’ scientific and medical communities, particularly through the introduction of more affordable and accurate methods of biological sample screening.
Several experts in our client’s field of biomedical engineering lent support to our client’s EB-1A case in the form of recommendation letters. One of these recommenders had this to say about our client’s work: “[Client’s] innovative design of a droplet microfluidic system, which has optimized high-throughput combinatorial screening, remains unsurpassed by other researchers in his field.” Our legal team included these letters in the petition packet submitted to the USCIS. The packet also contained information on the 606 citations that our client’s 10 published papers had acquired, the 19 times he assessed the work of others, and detailed accounts of his research.
When we noticed that the adjudication timeframe was outside the normal processing time, we raised a service request on our client's behalf. The USCIS responded three days later informing us that the case was in line to be reviewed. A little over two weeks later, they approved our client’s EB-1A petition. We would like to congratulate our client on getting one step closer to this green card.
