Case Summary:

Our client, who has an M.Sc. in Communication and Information Technology and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, engaged our services to apply for a green card. He opted to file under the EB-1B (Outstanding Professors and Researchers) category and was supported by his employer, a private semiconductor company. Thanks to Premium Processing, our client received an approval notice 21 days after we filed his I-140. (Premium Processing cases are usually adjudicated within 15 days of filing, so this one was slightly longer than usual but still much shorter than the standard processing time).
Employed as an IGBT device design engineer, our client models advanced Silicon Germanium (SiGe) heterojunction bipolar transistors, optimizes insulated gate bipolar transistors (IGBT), and simulates fast recovery epitaxial diodes (FRED). His findings are used to develop optimized power devices for enhanced industrial applications, with improvements in cost, system performance, and energy efficiency. Our petition packet established that his investigations are not only crucial to various industries in the United States, but that they are also invaluable in advancing the work of other scientists.
We explained the significance of our client’s work by including his 35 citations and 2 publications, and we also helped him contact several experts in his field to request their service as recommenders. A letter supplied by one of these recommenders stated, “His prestigious academic background and diverse professional experiences have molded him into one of the most capable researchers in the field of engineering. As further evidence of his expertise, [Client] has published technical research and a novel patent in semiconductor diode production […] His peers rely on his reviewer service and he has been an invited reviewer for important academic publications.”
North America Immigration Law Group recently applied for I-1485s on behalf of our client and his wife. We wish them both the best in this final step towards their green card.
