Case Summary:

A postdoctoral fellow from India hired North America Immigration Law Group to help him obtain a green card. Our client’s years of experience working in the field of organic chemistry and materials science, his advanced degrees, and the 420 citations to his 16 publications made him a suitable candidate to file his I-140 under the EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) visa category.
Although our client had strong credentials, the USCIS took longer than usual to adjudicate his case; his petition was transferred twice and our legal team had to raise a service request. We handled all aspects of communication with the USCIS in regards to this petition, allowing our client to concentrate on his development of novel organic reactions that are environmentally-friendly.
As with all our clients, we encouraged this postdoctoral researcher to contact other specialists in his field for recommendation letters. One of these letters stated that “It is more important than ever to support the work of scientists like [Client] who are helping the chemical industry progress to a more innovative, more conscientious, and safer place.” We included these letters in our carefully prepared petition dossier, which also contained proof of the significance of our client’s work to environmental protection protocols in the United States.
We would like to congratulate our client on this milestone, and we wish him well in his continued investigations in the field of organic chemistry and materials science.
