Case Summary:

In this EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) case, a Ph.D. candidate from South Korea hired North America Immigration Law Group to file an I-140 on his behalf. Our client, who specializes in the field of materials engineering, is studying smart surfaces and nano-scale fluid mechanics. The years of experience that he has spent in the field has led him to develop a non-reflective, self-cleaning glass surface that repels water, a nano-fiber fabric morphology that repels oil, a nano-structured surface that harvests moisture from the air, and a novel method for microfluidic manipulation.
A copy of our client’s Masters of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering, data on the 134 citations to his 7 published papers, and the four testimonials that he collected from other materials engineers were part of our comprehensive NIW petition packet. In a brilliant show of support for our client’s case, one of the recommenders wrote, “In light of the many successes [Client] has already enjoyed, I highly recommend that the ensuing stages of his research career be given the fullest level of support, as they are bound to produce additional advancements in the area of interfacial science.”
Our firm demonstration of the significance of our client’s research to the United States’ technological and economic advancement lent a hand in the rapid adjudication of this case. The USCIS spent no more than 3 months reviewing our client’s EB-2 NIW petition before granting their approval. Our firm is currently helping our client and his wife with their I-485 applications. Once the USCIS approves this final step, this couple will obtain their green cards.
