Case Summary:

“Biofuels derived from algae are particularly new and thus need top researchers to make their production more efficient. [Client] is on the frontier for the biofuel industry, and her work is paving the way for additional research and technological advancement.”
This quote is excerpted from one of the six recommendation letters contributed by experts in our client’s field of environmental engineering. North America Immigration Law Group included these letters in the well-thought-out EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) petition that we submitted to the USCIS. Alongside these letters, we documented our client’s 9 publications that had gathered 56 citations at the time of filing, and the 8 instances that she judged the work of other scientists in her field.
As part of our strategy, we detailed our client’s numerous research projects focused on the development of energy efficient alternative fuels. We demonstrated to the USCIS that our client, a postdoctoral appointee from India, is investigating issues that directly benefit the United States green energy sector.
Although our client opted to file her case under Premium Processing, the USCIS took over six months to adjudicate her I-140. The lengthy timeframe was due to the Request for Evidence (RFE) that they issued. However, we responded to the RFE efficiently and effectively, resulting in an approval notice. Our legal team is currently helping our client and her husband with their I-485 applications. We wish them all the best with the final step in the green card process.
