Case Summary:

Not long ago, North America Immigration Law Group had the pleasure of working with a postdoctoral research fellow from India. We put together a detailed EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) petition packet and filed it on his behalf. Our client, who works in the field of biomedical engineering, conducts research on biomechanical testing and the evaluation of biomaterials. As part of our services, we demonstrated that his research addresses some of the United States’ most pressing issues on joint replacements and tissue-engineered repair strategies for musculoskeletal soft tissue injuries.
Our legal services included helping our client select and reach out to several specialists in his field. He then appealed for them to contribute recommendation letters to strengthen his EB-1A case. One of his recommenders wrote, ““Collectively, [Client’s] findings have been groundbreaking, and they point the way toward the development of controlled laboratory studies for investigating UHMWPE wear as well as the development of knee replacement materials that exhibit greater resistance to HA, while maintaining their mechanical properties.” Besides these letters, we also incorporated information on our client’s doctoral degree, 230 citations, 10 publications, and 37 examples of his peer review experience.
Our client opted to upgrade his I-140 petition to Premium Processing almost 11 months after we filed his case. Two weeks after doing so, he received an approval notice from the USCIS. North America Immigration Law Group wishes him the best with his I-485 application (the final stage in obtaining a green card).
