Case Summary:

With a Ph.D. in Information and Communication Engineering, 22 peer-reviewed journal articles and conference proceedings, and 60 citations, we were confident that our client from China had the credentials needed to qualify his I-140 petition under EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver). Among other things, his research focuses on computational electromagnetics, bio-electromagnetics, and remote sensing. His work has yielded results that directly contribute to the remote sensing of the earth, which has applications in scientific domains ranging from climatology to agriculture, and to the enhanced monitoring of electromagnetic field exposure in humans.
As part of our legal services, we advised our client to approach several expert electrical engineers and request recommendation letters to reinforce his EB-2 NIW petition. One of these experts described the significance of our client’s research this way: “This is especially important for countries with disproportionately large carbon footprints, like China and the United States, that rely on climate modeling to assess the impact of their consumption patterns and formulate effective strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions without compromising economic growth and energy security.” His letter, along with several others that we obtained, were included in our client’s EB-2 NIW petition dossier.
Thanks to our efforts in proving that our client’s work benefits the United States, the USCIS granted their approval of his case. We congratulate our client and wish him well with the final step of his green card journey.
