Case Summary:

In this case, we helped a research assistant from Iran file an EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) petition. Our client, who has an M.Sc. in Electrical Power System Engineering, is researching electrical power systems and energy management practices. As part of our legal services, we established that his work improves the reliability and functionality of power systems and is contributing to the United States’ efforts to upgrade its existing systems to incorporate smarter and greener technology.
We also demonstrated that only a small handful of researchers can attain the same level of success that our client has. To support this claim, we encouraged our client to contact experts in his field of electrical engineering and request for recommendation letters. Five specialists obliged, and their letters were included in our carefully prepared EB-2 NIW petition packet. One of these experts wrote, “Not only have his studies established new means of achieving maximum energy cost efficiency, but they have opened new pathways for the realistic integration of sustainable energy solutions. These advancements are not only of immense value to the United States, but to nations worldwide as the struggle to adjust global resource consumption and environmental impact continues.” We further strengthened our client’s case by detailing his 5 published journal articles that had collected 97 citations at the time of filing.
Our client’s strong NIW case was approved in 4 months and 8 days; we are pleased that we played a role in getting him one step closer towards permanent residency. We are currently helping him prepare his I-485 application and we wish him the best with the final step of the green card process.
