Case Summary:

With a doctorate in mechanical engineering, 4 published journal articles that had garnered 39 citations at the time of filing, and years of experience conducting research in the field of mechanical engineering, our client (a postdoctoral research fellow from Iran) had suitable credentials to file his I-140 under the EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) visa category.
The legal team at North Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com) diligently prepared a strong NIW petition that determined the significance of our client’s research to the United States. For instance, we detailed his many research projects on the application of computational and mechanical engineering methods to understand, monitor, and diagnose the behavior of airflow within vocal folds and blood flow inside the heart. We demonstrated that his work contributes to the country’s biomedical research community and particularly to the biomechanics industry via their applications in heart disease and voice disorder studies. We also established that not many other mechanical engineers who share our client’s educational and professional background can achieve what he has.
To further fortify our client’s NIW case, we encouraged him to contact other influential mechanical engineers to contribute letters of support. Our client managed to obtain six recommendation letters which we incorporated into our EB-2 NIW petition packet. One of the recommenders wrote, “Thus, I state without hesitation that [Client] is an integral engineer and scientist, and that his continued presence is essential for the advancement of public health in the United States.” The USCIS agreed with our presentation; a little over 10 months after we filed the case, they sent us an approval notice.
This approval serves as another example of North America Immigration Law Group’s dedication to helping our clients get one step closer to permanent residency.
